Monday thru Friday
8am – 5pm

This position is also the Safety Committee Leader
AN All During heavy infectious disease control seasons as determine by property management wipe down heavy traffic areas, Stairwell hand rails, door handles, elevator button, Lobby desk 3 to4 times a day with Hospital grade disinfectant.
AN All Periodical request by building services to assist building personal with adhoc function set up of chairs and tables.
AN All Adhoc request for non-hazardous special or one time clean-up of spills, floods, debris such as small trash inside or outside of the building and/or parking garage.
AN All Properly clean and dispose all blood borne pathogens/ bodily fluid events per requests
D Lobby Empty the Trash. Replace Liners trash liners with black bags & recycle with Clear bags.
D Lobby Dust Chair & Table Legs, Moldings, Sills, Ledges, Shelves, Door Frames, and Pictures.
D Lobby Remove any cobwebs on walls, ceilings, light fixtures.
D Lobby Clean all coolers/water dispensers all Areas
D Lobby Wipe down all Interior/exterior Glass doors & handles
D Conference Rooms Empty the Trash. Replace Liners trash liners with black bags & recycle with Clear bags.
D Conference Rooms Remove any cobwebs on walls, ceilings, light fixtures.
D Kitchenette Empty the Trash. Replace Liners trash liners with black bags & recycle with Clear bags.
D Kitchenette Take the collected trash to the designated location
D Restrooms Maintain, repair, and replace roll dispenser as well as replacing paper
D Restrooms Clean soap dispensers & fill for soap supply
D Kitchenette Empty the Trash. Replace Liners trash liners with black bags & recycle with Clear bags.
D Kitchenette Restock all coffee supplies ( Paper goods, cups, creamer, straws, sweeteners)
D Fitness Center Restock sanitizer, paper goods & cups.
D General Check and maintain all air freshening systems and hand disinfecting stations in and nearest to the rooms. This includes hand disinfecting stations in parking garage.  If equipment is damaged place a work order in Building services system and notify building services.
D All When replacing trash liners ensure clear is used for any/all recycling cans and black is used for trash going to landfill
M Lobby Dust all pictures, frame, charts, graphs and similar wall hangings not reached in nightly cleaning in all areas.
M Conference Rooms Dust Chair & Table legs.
M Conference Rooms Wet clean/Disinfect conference tables.
M General Clean all safety mirrors in main building & parking garage
O General Power wash all pavement surfaces in parking garage
Q All Power wash all exterior surfaces such as sidewalks, drives, exterior entry ways.
W Lobby Sanitize telephones including ear and mouth pieces.
W Conference Rooms Sanitize telephones including ear and mouth pieces.

Building Operations Duties:
  • Monitor work order system for tickets that may have been assigned
  • Wipe down entry glass and elevators as needed
  • Wipe and clean spills as needed including any blood borne pathogen issues
  • Assist building support position with special chair and table set up requests
  • Assist building support position as needed for furniture and office moves
  • Assist building support position in regards to safety: ladder support, heavy lifting, and other tasks as needed
  • Assist property management team as needed
This position may also include other duties as required by management.


Job Overview

The Porter/Bell Person is responsible for expediting a guest’s arrival at the client’s premises by transporting baggage and ensuring the guest’s experience is smooth for arrivals, during their stay and departures.  The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

General Responsibilities:

  • Escorts guests and carries baggage for hand or hand-truck to waiting or baggage room or vehicle.
  • Performs related services, such as calling taxicabs, directing persons to ticket windows and restrooms, and assists handicapped passengers upon their arrival or departure.
  • Arranges for outgoing freight, express or other mail shipments and prepares all mailing tags/records.
  • Computes charges for mail and shipping services and forwards information to the bookkeeping department for billing per Sodexho policy and procedures.
  • Arranges and keeps a log of cleaning, laundering and repair of guest’s clothing and other items.
  • Sets up sample rooms for personnel.
  • Maintain clean lobbies or entrance areas for travelers or guests.
  • Assist physically challenged travelers and other guests with special needs.
  • Assists in unpacking, arranging and packing merchandise and related services as requested by guests.
  • May set up display tables, racks or shelves.
  • Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
  • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
  • Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.  
  • Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications:


  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
  • 1 to 2 years of related work experience.


  • Ability to present self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential.

  • Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect.

Physical Requirements:

  • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
  • Significant walking or other means of mobility.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.

Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location):

  • Generally in an indoor setting; however, may participate in outside activities and events.
  • Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends and extended hours as business dictates.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Wears protective clothing and/or Personal Protective Equipment required by the work environment or governmental regulations.
