The Electrician repairs, maintains, and installs wiring, motors, transformers, generators, lighting, and other electrical systems. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of

Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances.
Uses hand tools and testing instruments.
Inspects and tests electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits.
Assists in isolating defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment using testing instruments such as ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter, testing lamp, or growler.
Replaces faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems.
Inspects completed work for conformance with requirements of local building and safety codes.
Estimates time and material costs on electrical projects.
Requisitions new electrical supplies and equipment.
Assists in mounting motors, transformers and lighting fixtures into position and completing circuits according to diagram specifications.
May dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures.
Document all work in the CMMS system.
Identifies and corrects unsafe working conditions with management oversight.
Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
1 or more years of related work experience.

Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location):
Generally in an indoor setting; however, may participate in outside activities and events.
Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends and extended hours as business dictates.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Wears protective clothing and/or Personal Protective Equipment required by the work environment or governmental regulations.
The electrician will respond to electrical trouble calls and perform preventive maintence throughout a portfolio of Laboratory/Office buildings, inspect and repair a wide variety of electrical systems including: lighting, power distribution and specialized
commercial & laboratory equipment. Will diagnose, repair or replace motors and associated electrical controls. Will also assist General Maintence technicians and other trades as needed.
Repairing, installing, and testing electrical circuits and equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair commercial electrical equipment including low voltage and fire alarm
Perform preventive maintence and repairs to equipment including but not limited to: Automatic transfer switches, frequency drives, switch gear, UPS systems, Environmental monitoring systems
Perform small projects such as installing new circuits, mechanical equipment installation
Availability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and work as part of an on call rotation
Estimating time and material costs on electrical projects.
Ability to work safely and neatly in a manufacturing – laboratory – office environment
Document all work in MAXIMO/INFOR CMMS system.
Qualified applicants will have the following:
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 5 to 7 years of experience in a commercial service environment
Excellent interpersonal skills, accuracy and attention to detail. The right candidate for this job must be reliable, punctual with good attendance and be comfortable performing independently
Strong knowledge of national, state and local electrical codes (NFPA 70, 70e,) and regulations
Ability to read architectural drawings and electrical diagrams
Proven ability to prioritize tasks, self-manage and prioritize daily workload and other assignments or projects with minimal supervision
Valid Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Electrician license
